U.S.-ASEAN Relations: Charting the Next 40 Years

On March 1st and 2nd, policymakers, business leaders and academics attended a conference held by the Center for Strategic and International Studies titled, “U.S.-ASEAN Relations: Charting the Next 40 Years” in Manila. The event was supported by the U.S. State Department.

 

Tan Sri Dr. Munir Majid represented the ASEAN Business Club on a panel titled, “Attracting Investment, Enhancing Connectivity”. He was joined on the panel by Mr. Stephen Groff Vice President, Operations, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific, Asian Development Bank; Mr. Jose “Joey” Concepcion, Chair, ASEAN Business Advisory Council; and Mr. Gil Gonzales, Vice President for Corporate Governance & Risk Management, SM Investments. The session was moderated by Mr. Ernest Z. Bower President & CEO, BowerGroupAsia and Non-Resident Senior Adviser, CSIS.
